“Orden público: Vagos, Maleantes y Peligrosidad Social” es un proyecto de Daniel Gasol que realiza contrabando de expedientes de la Ley de Vagos y Maleantes (1933-1970) y Peligrosidad Social (1970-1995) para pensar cómo la legislación convierte a las clases desfavorecidas en delincuentes que deben redimirse a través del trabajo para el Estado.
In the framework of the exhibition Public Order: Vagos, Maleantes y Peligrosidad Social, the artist Daniel Gasol will guide us through his extensive research on the files of the Vagos y Maleantes (1933-1970) and Peligrosidad Social (1970-1995) Law, analysing how the legislation often turns the underprivileged classes into criminals, who must also redeem themselves by working for the State.

In the framework of the exhibition Orden público: Vagos, Maleantes y Peligrosidad Social, Daniel Gasol invites us to participate in a workshop in the context of the La Model prison in Barcelona, one of the places where detainees under the Ley Vagos y Maleantes (1933-1970) and the Ley de Peligrosidad Social (1970-1995) were held and imprisoned in order to serve their corresponding sentences.
In the context of the ex La Modelo prison in Barcelona, we will be holding a round table with Daniel Gasol, with Antoni Ruiz and Silvia Reyes, two people sentenced under the Ley Vagos y Maleantes y Peligrosidad Social, who will share their experiences and legislative processes.
