La emperatriz

Susana Blasco experiments with “La emperatriz” and creates a collage on gauze cloth that unites two different female figures, but dressed alike. Both are placed in the same position holding a sceptre, which in this case are flowers, and are connected by their feet, symbolizing the card in its normal, inverted position. They are united in the same dress that flows from abundance or the positive to its opposite. From the procreative instinct to sterility. From creative fullness to artistic blockage.
