ARCOmadrid 2024 Fair
It is with great joy that we announce once again the participation of Chiquita Room in ARCOmadrid 2024.
For the second consecutive year, the gallery will be part of the Opening section, curated this time by Yina Jiménez Suriel and Cristina Anglada. In this space of discovery of new proposals and in support of young and international galleries, we will present with great enthusiasm a new “in-house” duo, formed by artists Alba Yruela (La Bisbal d’Empordà, 1989) and Julia Aurora Guzmán (Santo Domingo, 1993).
For the 43rd edition of the fair, whose central project is the Caribbean, the Opening curators wanted to incorporate “the desire” to the curatorial principle of thinking about the “how” we manage projects, which will be shared by all the invited galleries. We look forward to seeing you from March 6 to 10, 2024 at the IFEMA Madrid Fairgrounds.

Alba Yruela
Alba Yruela (La Bisbal d’Empordà, 1989) comes from the Catalonian región of Empordà, where she developed her passion for nature. She started photographing her surroundings, friends and lovers from an intimate and delicate but direct point of view.

Julia Aurora Guzmán
Julia Aurora Guzmán (Dominican Republic, 1993) works between Barcelona and Amsterdam. Her interdisciplinary practice orbits around water, holders and centering forces.
