Sin título (Para Laía)

As a visual complement to the sound piece Para Laía, each of the two screen prints in this diptych reproduces a note chosen from those written by the artist’s mother and father. Like a tracing that returns the sound recording to calligraphy, the work returns to the traces of their scriptural gestures: “Grullas de vuelta. Febrero finales” (“Cranes returning. Late February”), in the mother’s handwriting, and “En paz” (“At peace”), in capital letters, in the father’s.
