Return Return
2026
Starting from the discovery of a hand-drawn design on fresh mortar, Return return carries out a series of contact reproduction exercises: photography, frottage with a graphite stick, photocopy, and transfer. The polyptych brings together five fragments of diverse origin, including a pencil note on a book by Rosmarie Waldrop, a childhood photograph, a handwritten dedication in a notebook, and a fragment of the original frottage, which recalls the childish outline of a bird. The title holds an echo, that of a flock flying overhead and seeming to give an instruction to return.
Polyptych of five toner transfers on perforated paper, from frottage and photocopy.
132 x 41,6 cm. (framed polyptych) | 23,2 x 32,6 cm. (size of each sheet)
