Para Laía
2026
Para Laía translates handwritten notes into recorded voices. Its starting point is the everyday messages the artist’s parents left for years on the kitchen or living room table—written to be read and thrown away, yet secretly kept. In July 2025, both read them aloud, each reading their own handwriting, in a single take and without knowing the content in advance. The resulting recording alternates their voices and blends temporalities: a past writing spoken by a present voice, transforming what was private into a shared message.
Sound piece. Voice recording of Tere Folch and Kely Argüelles, July 2025.
