Marina (solo)
2026
Marina (solo) belongs to the series of Marinas, which draws on the fragmentation and recontextualization of images taken from photographs. Composed of fragile photographic fragments and glass tesserae, the piece reconstructs the mental image of a panoramic seascape. It is one of the first marinas to contain a trace of presence, in this case animal: the appearance of a single bird in flight, alluded to in the parenthesis of the title, in the manner of a musical composition, like a piece for piano.
Assemblage of 273 fragments of found black-and-white photography, glass tiles, and mortar on panel.
29,2 x 46,4 x 3,4 cm.
