Handschmeichler
2023
Handschmeichler is a sensory object made by Teresa Estapé from talc and diamond, the softest and hardest mineral on the Mohs scale. Traditionally, it is an object that fits comfortably in the hand due to its size and generates a pleasant sensation when touched due to its smooth surface and rounded edges.
These are hand-modelled from a block of talcum powder, an extremely soft and unctuous material, and each one carries a natural rose-cut diamond (2 or 2.3 mm) set in white gold. Each has a different shape and measures between 6 x 3 and 8 x 4 cm.
