Standing Woman II
2021
The starting point of Standing Woman is a collection of photographs gathered over the years under the category “women standing”, a selection of which is included in the work. The piece consists of eighteen original black-and-white photographs—portraits of women standing in various public and private spaces. Arranged one above the other, they reach a height of 160 cm, the exact height of the artist herself, so that its verticality corresponds to the vertical stance of the framed women. A standing woman formed by standing women themselves: a collective ensemble and a representative height, in a wall piece whose base directly touches the floor.
Assemblage of 18 found photographs.
160 x 8.5 x 2 cm.
