Díptico (DU/TU)
2026
The work starts from two old German copper stencils, monograms designed for embroidering letters onto textiles, containing the initials DU and TU. By bringing the letters together, both turn into syllables and into the second-person singular pronouns in German and Spanish. The constant repetition of each monogram is presented as a dialogue of recognition, broadcast and received at the same time. The title refers not to the format, but to the exchange between both pronouns, which take turns showing recognition and reciprocity.
