Odi et amo
2026
Odi et amo hinges on an assemblage of materials that were found, collected, or later brought together in pairs, so that the internal correspondences unfold in size, motif, and coordinates. The pangram is present from its initial motivation: an arrangement that allows the set of materials to be read equally from top to bottom and from bottom to top. At a glance, two blocks are perceived, crossed by a central vertical axis. The sixteen elements bring together papers of different kinds: old photographs, images cut out from books and serialized part-works, two tiny envelopes each with an even smaller trading card glued to the back, small cards for communicating in secret under the heading “carrier pigeons,” and a note found in the street, with an L and a K separated by a heart drawn in pencil.
Assemblage of found materials arranged as a palindrome.
123 x 83 cm.
