A home for art
Chiquita Room is a contemporary art gallery, publisher and artist residency with spaces in Barcelona and Brussels. From an intentional curatorial approach, its programme focuses on interdisciplinary and collaborative work, with the aim of supporting local and international talent and fostering connections between them. The purpose is to accompany artists in the development of their projects, addressing relevant issues through a critical, innovative and collective lens. Its ultimate vocation is to engage audiences in the experience of art as a source of knowledge and beauty, broadening their interpretations of reality through reflection and debate. All of this is made possible by a team of good people, capable and dedicated, who take care of the processes and the details.

Contemporary art gallery
In its seven years of existence, it has maintained a constant activity and has presented almost 50 exhibitions, between individual and collective shows, and has published more than thirty artist books. In 2025, Chiquita Room got the prize for Best Annual Programming, awarded by the Catalan galleries associations, was nominated for the award of the Catalan Association of Art Criticism in 2020 and in 2024, and received the award for Best Gallery in Barcelona in 2021, awarded by the magazine Time Out.
Publishing house
Chiquita Ediciones was born in 2013 as an independent micro-publisher specialized in artist’s books, from unfinished publications, Chiquita Ediciones invited artists to participate in them in order to generate a dialogue and interaction. All exhibitions held at the art center have an associated publication.
Artist Residency
Chiquita Room is a home for international artists, it offers a space for accommodation, artistic production and exhibition. Through its own residency program, it invites artists to live in Barcelona, integrate and be inspired by the city and carry out the entire creative process.
