More Faces than the Moon 6
2024
Laura Zuccaro’s compositions reimagine the materiality of the tarot and suggest that the invisible and the visible are inseparable, coexisting in a delicate balance to be deciphered.
By looking at the opposite side of the cards and working with them through cutting, collage, composition or the application of trimmings, the artist invites us to reflect on what appears to be present, even if it remains hidden.
Through manual work, the structures formed with the cards reveal symbolic silhouettes and unexpected patterns, acting as visual metaphors of the hidden dimensions of our perception. By looking at what we do not usually look at, we find the reflection of what is hidden inside ourselves: emotions, thoughts and invisible possibilities, always latent.
