De vista obligada [Colosseo ]

The image of the Colosseum is omnipresent in Rome; it is possibly its most reproduced monument. This strip of postcards makes this presence clear and at the same time plays with the theme of change of scale. In this way a relationship is created between the Colosseum and the hand in each of the photographs. The postcards are accompanied by a quote from J.W. von Goethe’s Journey to Italy, in which he speaks of the grandeur of this ruin.
