DESCRIPTION:from the past ∞ from the future és una peça de dansa que sorgeix de dues escultures prèvies de neó\, From the Past (Score —h) i From the Future(Score v—)\, creades en el marc del projecte expositiu Time Bends as We Menja Closer\, en el qual Pedro Torres investiga sobre la curvatura de l’espaitemps i la conseqüent força gravitatòria. Acompanya la dansa\, la peça sonora Falling (Pedro Torres\, 2020)\, també creada per a l’exposició Time Bends as We Menja Closer. Un paisatge sonor de 48 minuts compost a partir de tres pistes ja existents: Walking & Falling (1982)\, de Laurie Anderson; Falling (2011)\, de Meredith Monk; i Falling\, Catching (2010)\, d’Agnes Obel. Les tres peces remeten al fet de caure’s\, moviment que els nostres cossos experimenten constantment a causa de la força gravitatòria\, a penes perceptible o conscient en el quotidià. Per a from the past ∞ from thefuture\, Falling es reedita per a acompanyar els moviments de la dansa\, sense pautarlos i conceptualment com un fons sonor que ve del passat profund.
